Our Program
Troop 395 offers a year-round Scouting program with fun, challenging activities that promote character development, citizenship, and physical fitness. From September through May, our Troop meets every Monday at the Curé of Ars school cafeteria to advance in Scouting ranks, plan campouts and have a great time with friends. Also from September to May, our Troop camps every month. In June, our Troop goes to the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation for ten days. High Adventure and Patrol Camping typically take place in July and August. Troop 395 was chartered in 1962 by Curé of Ars Catholic Church in Leawood, Kansas.
Fundraising
Our Troop has two fundraisers annually, a trash bag sale in October, and a chili dinner and raffle in January.
Trash Bag will be available after all Masses in the vestibule during the month of October. Trash bags are $14/roll. We offer 15-gallon (65/roll), 39-gallon (25/roll), and 55-gallon (16/roll). We also have paper yard waste bags at $5 per pack of 5. Please support this fundraiser to support this parish youth leadership program. In addition, you may contact CONNIE MARTIN at 913.548.5327 to make multiple roll purchases. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Free delivery is available within Curé Parish boundaries.
Family Involvement
Family involvement is an essential part of the Scouting experience, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our program.
